Maria Nova has a background in Film Theory and Cultural Analysis, having earned her bachelor’s at The Amsterdam University College. After a couple of years of shooting documentary, short films and artistic vignettes, she moved to New York City where she continues to work as a director and producer. Maria Nova also is the founder of a female led production agency Unholy, that focuses on branded content for tech companies,start ups fashion/ beauty brands, food, hospitality and travel industries.

Mostly producing commercial and documentary campaigns, Nova works as a commercial director, producer, photographer and editor in NYC, LA as well as internationally.
