WATCH REEL>>
Once a llama handler and stage actor from the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, JEAN GRANT (she/they) now resides in Los Angeles as a filmmaker, performer, and (sadly) an ex-llama handler.
Jean's films include FOUND (director/writer/producer), Birth of a Pomegranate (writer/actor/producer), Shauna Lee (writer/actor/producer) and other short-form experimental content. In commercial and music videos, she has creative directed & produced for Left Productions and has line-produced and worked in production for commercials, music videos and stills. A proud member of Women In Film, Jean was selected for their Actor-Content-Creator Mentorship in 2019-2020. Her theatre credits include Exhuming Johnny, a sci-fi speculation for The Year of Chicago (performer/writer // Robert Walton & Company), The Event (playwright // Exquisite Corpse Company) and The Moon Play (playwright // Exquisite Corpse Company). In 2013, Jean graduated from The Victorian College of the Arts at the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art (that's Melbourne, Australia--not to be confused with Melbourne, Florida).
Jean‘s passionate about updating the sci-fi genre with bringing queer and women-centric stories to the forefront. Jean’s also passionate about parenting her dog, house plants–and (fingers-crossed) a future llama.
