Alison is a writer and director. Raised in a small town in Michigan, she finds compelling stories about people in places that are often overlooked or seen as mundane. She’s influenced by nostalgia, and the complex understated beauty in the ordinary; this can be felt in all of her work.

Her goal is to tell personal, authentic stories with the intention of creating empathy and understanding of one another; using humor to bring people together. On set, she is devoted to creating a collaborative environment for every crew and cast member.

BELLYFUL, Alison’s first narrative short, premiered at the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts Fest in 2022. The film has since gained recognition and was awarded Best Children’s Short & Best Child Actress at the 2023 Indie Short Fest, where Alison was also nominated for Best First Time Female Director.

Alison holds a BFA in Film Production with an emphasis in screenwriting & directing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
